Documents for the SRA 'Graphic Design know-how for social researchers' course, 10 June 2025-LP0362 (In Person)
Course led by Lulu Pinney
Note to Participants:
1) Participants must bring a laptop that runs the software they usually use to produce their outputs, eg. Word and PowerPoint, though those familiar with other software are welcome to use that.
2) If your organisation has brand guidelines, including any or all of an identity, assets (fonts, logos, colour palette, templates) and guidelines of how to use these - and you would like to refer to these - please bring them with you on your laptop
3) Please bring a work-in-progress output of your own to apply your learning to. However, please only bring work that you are happy and able to discuss with other people attending the training, for learning purposes. Do not bring work that is commercially or ethically sensitive. Alternatively, on the day the trainer can provide undesigned content for you to work on if you prefer. This will be from the folder called 'material to work with if you don't bring your own'.
4) Please download the ppt file and the two folders called 'exercises' and 'examples'. We will be looking at and working within several of these files.
- the link is read only. Attendees can download files from it.
- The link will expire after 1 month on 10 July.
- Attendees to please download the course slides and the two folders called 'exercises' and 'examples'. We will be looking at and working within several of these files.
- The third folder isn't essential and it is larger. It is for those people who do't have their own material to work on and might like to choose something from there on the day, at which point they can then download a few, relevant files from it.
